WOW! What a trip down memory lane!! Not sure why I was not in that pic : -( but I was in that original group (and in fact won the first TFC competition [ an engraved Artley Piccolo and of course I still have it LOL]. I am sure I have some shots of Phil and the then owner/rep of Artley making the presentation. Let me know if you want a copy of it for the archives. LOL

I currently love in Australia but the family is still in Tucson.
I was one of Phil Swanson first students outside of University.
In fact I was just starting 7th grade when he began to teach me.

Lillian Porter?? Of COURSE I remember her well.

#1 = Emerson alto flute – straight head, cleaned, oiled, adjusted Oct. 2011 for $1455

#2 = Yamaha YPC62 piccolo, cleaned & adjusted Oct. 2011 for $1250

#3 = Verne Q Powell Flute, sterling silver (0.014) with gold embouchure and riser, traditional Powell tone hole, inline G, soldered tone holes, French cups, B foot joint, Straubinger pads, scale A=440. COA Oct 2011 for $9500

We have no open general meetings. You can join the Southern Arizona Flute Orchestra as indicated on the Ensemble page. Our dues are quite reasonable and we have no special rates for couples.

I am trying to find an email address for Christine Harper. I was her student (and a member of the Tucson Flute Club) several years ago before I moved away from Tucson, and would like to ask her advice about a possible flute purchase.
